Does your dog show reactivity toward certain objects?

Reactivity is the physical response to a feeling. When we change the emotion, we change the response.

This dog had very strong feelings about vacuums, and biting them was his response. By using positive reinforcement (the cheese), we have worked up to him being neutral around them.

The steps

• Present the object
• Reward for calmness
• Never force the dog to approach
• Up the criteria: add movement
• Be aware of body language
• Reward

Change the emotion = change the behavior.
