Meet Juli
Our lead trainer and owner has a heart-centered passion for dogs and believes every dog should have the opportunity to live their best life.
Juli is a Certified Dog Trainer through CATCH Canine Trainers Academy. She has dedicated many hours with Guide Dogs of America and raised a guide dog in her home while also providing public outings.
She has a therapy dog, Jumbo, who visits children to adults 103 years of age!
Volunteering at the local shelter, she provides enrichment for the pups in the form of games, activities and exercise to prevent anxiety, boredom and stress. She believes each and every dog is worthy of a loving home.
Better Together Dog Training has many years of experience in supporting pet owners to make positive changes in their pet's behavior or learn new behaviors. Our high success rate and client satisfaction, combined with relationship building, make for a great foundation!

Hi, I'm Juli
I'm a professional dog trainer who believes training should build trust, confidence, communication, and a stronger relationship between dogs and their people.
For me, dog training is about so much more than teaching a dog to sit, stay, or walk nicely on a leash. It's about helping dogs understand the world around them and giving their people the tools, knowledge, and confidence to truly communicate with their dogs.
My training philosophy centers around positive reinforcement, compassion, and setting dogs up for success. I use treats, praise, play, life rewards, and clear communication to make learning fun and meaningful. I believe dogs learn best when they feel safe, understood, and motivated to participate.
I work with dogs of all ages and personalities, from puppies learning the foundations of life to adult dogs working through manners, leash skills, recall, reactivity, confidence, impulse control, and everyday challenges. Every dog is an individual, so I tailor training to the dog in front of me rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
One of the things I love most about training is training the human, too. A dog may learn a behavior during a lesson, but lasting success comes from helping their family understand why their dog behaves the way they do.
My goal is simple: to help you and your dog move from frustration to understanding, from chaos to communication, and from simply living with your dog to genuinely enjoying life together. I'm passionate about creating confident, happy, well-mannered dogs while keeping training positive, practical, and fun.
Because at the end of the day, the best-trained dog isn't just one who listens. It's the one who trusts you, understands you, and loves working with you — because we really are Better Together.

Better Together Dog Training LLC believes in a do-with approach, ensuring we are providing the best training for both you and your dog. We believe in working as much with you as with your dog.
Customized to your dog
We customize our training plans to fit the needs, skills and personality of your dog. Our goal is a long-lasting positive relationship with you and your dog through expert training.
Positive reinforcement only
We only use positive reinforcement techniques — think treats and praise! We don't use prong, e-collars, choke chains, intimidation, or fear.
Licensed, certified & insured
Continuing education is a high priority: Juli has attended many training workshops and classes, and is certified in CPR and first aid for dogs.
